TORONTO, October 31, 2018 Halloween treats come in different shapes and sizes, this year, the ultimate trick-or-treat is a warm pie of cheesy goodness.
According to a new study commissioned by Pizza Pizza and executed by Ipsos, when given the choice between Halloween candy or pizza, 74% of Canadians preferred pizza! We repeat, three quarters of Canadians prefer pizza over candy! Some would say this is a Halloween game changer.
So this Halloween, why not give Canadians what they really want and offer pizza instead of candy?! Pre-order the pizza you need in advance so you’re prepared for Halloween night.
Better yet, Pizza Pizza is offering the perfect solution for those waking up post-Halloween with a sugary headache. On November 1st, gather a handful of your Halloween treats and take a trip your local Pizza Pizza and exchange it for a free slice of cheese or pepperoni pizza.
The survey was conducted by Ipsos between October 26th to 29th 2018, on behalf of Pizza Pizza. For this survey, a random sample of 1,003 Adult Canadian 18 years of age or older were interviewed online using the Ipsos Gen Pop Canada Omnibus survey. Weighting is employed to balance demographics to ensure that the sample’s composition reflects that of the adult population according to Census data and to provide results intended to approximate the sample universe. The precision of Ipsos online surveys is measured using a credibility interval. In this case, the survey is accurate to within ±3.5 percentage points, 19 times out of 20, had all Adult Canadians been surveyed. All sample surveys and polls may be subject to other sources of error, including, but not limited to coverage error, and measurement error.
